Creating custom path URLs in WordPress for any page

For SEO and classification, performance marketers are often wanting to add "directory paths" to WordPress page URLs. Unfortunately, you can not just go edit the page path and add a directory or folder path to your URL. 


This is an easy problem to solve, however! You will simply need to create a page for that path, redirecting the path alone to a logical place. 


We do not advocate for the use of a permalinks plugin at this time, because the added weight and risk of plugins is not worth it. Other plugins you already have set up, like AIOSEO, for example, may allow you to make this change all at once when you are creating the page:
