Still tracking page_view events and feeling left out? Add some of these events to make better use of Google Analytics' built-in capabilities.

For an ecommerce website using Google Analytics 4 (GA4), add_to_cart and purchase events are absolute requirements.

add_to_cart: Tracks when a user adds items to their shopping cart.
purchase: Captures when a purchase is completed.

What else?

Don't forget these to get a better idea for what folks are up to along the way:

view_item: Tracks views of product details.
view_item_list: Tracks views of lists of products or categories.
begin_checkout
: Captures when a user begins the checkout process.
